2015 Fritz Hayes Classic
|[-] Hide Story|
Frederick "Fritz" Hayes, a lacrosse parent who later became an official, was a tireless champion for the growth of the game in Oregon as both an official and support of officials training for the Oregon Youth Lacrosse Association (OYLA). In honor of Fritz, the Fritz Hayes Classic (FHC) featuring games between the previous year's Championship Final Final teams, has been held since 2013.As the graphic below states, this year will be Jesuit vs Lakeridge followed by West Linn vs. OES. While the FHC provides the opportunity to watch great lacrosse, the event is also a fund raiser for the Oregon Youth Officials program. So all proceeds from the event will go to supporting youth lacrosse and the growth of the sport in Oregon. As with last year, the raising activities for the FHC will be coordinated by the Oregon Lacrosse Officials Association (OLOA). The OLOA will be asking for donation of $5 per adult, $1 for students, while children 5 years and under are free. Please come and watch some great lacrosse and help raise funds for a very good cause.[-] Hide Story
