2018 OHSLA/Nike Clinic

Saturday, January 6th 9am to 1pm

The 2018 OHSLA/Nike Coaches Clinic will again be held on the Nike Beaverton campus, this year from 9am-1pm in the Tiger Woods Building. As always park in the main lot and follow signs to the building (see image below).  This year's clinic will feature Penn head coach Mike Murphy and Darien High school coach Jeff Barmeier.
  1. Mike Murphy (not to be confused with Colgate head lacrosse coach of the same name) has coached at the University of Pennsylvania since 2009 where he has lead a resurgence in the program including a 4th seed in the 2014 NCAA tournament.  Penn not only competes against the highly ranked Ivy league teams, but always adds teams from the powerfull ACC conference to creating a very high strength of schedule. After completing his college career at Duke, Murphy served as an assitant at Brown and then followed coach Starsia to UVa, two years at Penn before becoming head coach at Haverford where he racked up 68 wins in his 7 years as coach.

  2. Jeff Bremeier is a Connecticut high school coaching legend who has coached at Darien high school since the program's inception in 1984.  In his 23 year career, coach Brameier has compiled a record of 572-132 (a .823 winning percentage), has the third most high school wins for a lacrosse coach in the country and the most in CT history.  Darien will start the 2018 season on a 54-game win streak, looking to win its 14th state title.
