OHSLA Coaching Position Openings for 2015 Season

ALoha High School

The Aloha Lacrosse Club (ALC) is seeking a new Varsity Head Coach and staff for the 2015 season.  Aloha Lacrosse Club is a member of the highly competitive OHSLA Metro conference with excellent youth club support through Aloha Youth Lacrosse.  We have a dedicated board and enthusiastic set of parents supporting the growing program.  With only 4 seniors graduating last year, Aloha returns a strong young player base and JV coaching staff energized from the club's first post season playoff appearance in 2014 and ready to take it to the next level on our new turf field in 2015.

These are paid positions with salary commensurate upon experience.  The season runs from March through mid-May followed by the playoffs in late May.  Practices are Monday through Friday evenings with games during the week.

If you are interested in coaching for our program, please contact Brad Lewis, ALC Board President, at: brad@lewis-solberg.com or (503)504-2879.

Grant High School

Grant High School in NE Portland is looking for a new Varsity Head Coach for the 2015 season.  In addition we are filling positions for assistant coaches at both the Varsity and JV level.  Grant is a building program with great youth club support (Eastside Portland Lacrosse).  We have a board dedicated to developing a competitive program that plays high quality lacrosse.

Grant is a member of OHSLA's prominent Columbia conference.  While we were arguably the least experienced team in the conference last season, there is an excellent core of young men returning which will be bolstered by 18 skilled incoming freshman from our youth program this season.  This is an outstanding opportunity for a coach looking to build a program, develop talent and work with a great group of young men and enthusiastic community.

If you are interested in coaching for our program please contact Stuart Montgomery, board president, either by email (grantboylax@gmail.com) or phone (503-522-2454).  We would be happy to meet and discuss further the details of these opportunities.

Ridgeview High School

Ridgeview High School Lacrosse has an opening for a Varsity Assistant coach for the 2015 season.  Ridgeview Lacrosse will be a first year varsity team as they enter the 2015 season and are looking for a qualified, high energy, enthusiastic assistant coach.  Ridgeview is a program that prides itself on class, sportsmanship, overall respect for the game and its players.  The Team also has strong support from parent advisors, booster club and faculty.  Ridgeview High School itself is a new state of the art facility in Redmond that opened in 2012 and has a great group of up and coming athletes.

The Club is seeking an individual who, as Assistant Coach, can share these ideas and has the ability to communicate their knowledge of the game to players.  In this position you should be highly motivated to share your passion and energy for the sport in a positive, fun, and sportsmanlike way.  The Club is looking for someone who would enjoy the challenge of taking on a first year varsity team to help shape our athletes and program into everything they can be.  Previous experience in coaching or play required, compensation to be discussed.

Please email a cover letter with your coaching philosophy and why you feel that would be a good fit for our program as well as a history of playing or coaching experience to head Coach Jared Steele at coachsteele.ridgeview@gmail.com or (904) 400-2750.
