Beaverton High School

Beaverton High School Lacrosse is looking to bring on a JV Head Coach for the upcoming season.  Our Boys Varsity team finished 4th in the State in 2013 and we anticipate continued success as we strengthen our program on all levels.  Collectively, our coaching staff has earned: Oregon State Coach of the Year and Metro League Coach of the Year 2013, Metro League Asst. Coach of the Year 2013, Oregon State Asst. Coach of the Year and Metro League Asst. Coach of the Year in 2012.  Our coaches are bright, young, energetic, collaborative, and passionate about lacrosse, improving as coaches, and developing our players as athletes and outstanding citizens.  We are searching for a like-minded individual to run our JV program. 

We expect our JV head coach to communicate with players regarding their development and motivation, and to create a positive lacrosse experience for all players regardless of the win/loss record.  We expect a high number of athletes to join our program that have never played lacrosse, along with some very accomplished players.  We are looking for someone who would enjoy the challenge of shaping these young men into competitive Metro league players.  College playing experience and previous coaching experience are highly desirable, but not required.

Central Catholic High School

The Central Catholic Rams Lacrosse program is seeking strong candidates to fulfill coaching duties for both the Head and Assistant Coaches for the JV Team.  This program is entering its 8th year and competes in the Columbia Conference.  In 2013 the Rams varsity team progressed to the state quarter finals and had eight players receive all-conference honors. 

We are looking for committed coaches who will continue to help the program grow and develop players to compete at the varsity level.  Central Catholic Rams Lacrosse aspires to be an outstanding educational-athletic organization providing all participants with a competitive, positive, and character-building experience.  Applicants should have experience with the sport of lacrosse and coaching experience at the high school level.

Clackamas High School

Clackamas Boys Lacrosse has openings for two coaching positions for the 2014 season: Varsity Assistant and JV Head Coach. 

Varsity Assistant: The varsity assistant that would work with the defense and goalies starting Spring 2014.  Previous college experience and coaching experience preferred.  Responsibilities include occasional practice planning and aiding the head coach with other responsibilities pertaining to the team. 

Junior Varsity: We are looking for a defensive minded coach to work with the JV team.  Previous coaching experience preferred.  Responsibilities include occasional practice planning and aiding the varsity head coach with other responsibilities pertaining to the team.

Lake Oswego High School

Lake Oswego Mens Lacrosse is looking for a Head JV coach and an assistant coach for Spring of 2014. 

Practice times are 7:30 - 9:30 during the week and games are usually at 5:30 on Tuesdays and Fridays.  The Season runs from March 3 to May 17th.  Some weekend games are scheduled and 2 or 3 coaches meetings in February are expected.  Salary Competitive.

Tualatin High School

The Tualatin Lacrosse Club has openings for JV and Varsity Assistant Coaches for the Boys HS Lacrosse Program.  The Tualatin Lacrosse Club is a program supporting the development of players of all levels from third grade through high school.  Tualatin High School is a 6A school with a strong athletic tradition that has resulted in league championships in every OSAA-sanctioned sport, including 6 State and a national championship.  This year our lacrosse program will be in the seventh year of our Varsity program and eighth year at the JV level.  The Boys Varsity Program was North Valley Conference Champions in 2010.  We anticipate continued success as we strengthen our coaching team. 

We enjoy outstanding support from the Tualatin High School administration and athletic office.  We have a solid financial base, enthusiastic parents, as well as a supportive board and over 50 experienced players at the High School Level.  Varsity Head Coach Bryan Martin will oversee our program while encouraging and supporting responsible interaction from the entire coaching staff.  Coach Martin has 20+ years of coaching experience and led the Milford/Amherst, NH Lacrosse Club to two state high school championships.  Coach Martin played goalie on the Plymouth State University team, was an honorable mention All-American, 5th in the nation in save percentage and was Coxe Conference Goalie of the year in 1986. 

Coaches should be available for practices, five nights per week, starting mid-February.  Games run mid-March through late-May, but the season may extend into June if the team makes state playoffs.  Practices take place at Tualatin High School, Monday through Friday after school.  Coaches will participate in the implementation of season goals and weekly practice plans and are expected to communicate with players regarding player development and motivation. 

Position qualifications include:

  • 1 to 5 years of previous coaching experience with a commitment to sportsmanship and player development.
  • Demonstrated leadership and motivational skills.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for the game.
  • Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) membership by the start of the season.
  • US Lacrosse membership and Level I Coach training by the start of the season.
  • Collegiate level playing experience desirable.

Union Lacrosse Club

Union Lacrosse (DII) Club in Vancouver, WA seeks varsity assistant and JV coaches for their High School program.  The Union Lacrosse Club serves the Evergreen Public Schools district in Vancouver, WA and includes student athletes Union, Evergreen, Mountain View and Heritage High Schools. 

Coaches needed, at both the Varsity and JV levels.  Candidates must be available to run practices and collaborate with the Head Coach to execute practice plans and achieve team and program goals.  Practice times are typically weekday evenings, late February through May.  Coaching experience and/or prior lacrosse playing experience is required.  Positions are paid based upon experience.

Westview Boys Lacrosse (WBL) is seeking qualified coaches for our JV and JV2 Lacrosse Program for the 2014 season.  Westview is a growing program that is entering its 12th year.  Desired candidates will have demonstrated success as a HS-level lacrosse coach along with a proven commitment to teamwork, sportsmanship and player development.  The qualified individuals must demonstrate: leadership and motivational skills, strong knowledge, and passion for the game, with an ability to lead this group to compete at a high level.  Westview is an equal opportunity program and offering competitive compensation to the right individuals.  The season runs from February to May with Championship and other Tournaments extending into June.  Coaches should be available for practice 5 nights a week starting late February with Games starting mid-March.

College Positions

University of Portland

The University of Portland Men's Lacrosse Club is looking for an assistant coach to help out through the end of our Fall season and continue on throughout our Spring 2014 season. 

We are looking for some one with college playing experience and a desire to coach the game and work with a solid group of young men.  We are a division II member of the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League (PNCLL) and play about 13 games in the Spring throughout the Northwest.  This season our travel includes games in Ashland, Oregon, as well as Idaho.  We are in need of a coach willing to make the full time commitment required for consistency and in turn, success. 

The commitment will be 2-3 evenings per week with games on the weekends.  Our Fall schedule consists of about two scrimmages and a weekend tournament.  Our Spring schedule runs from mid January through the end of April/beginning of May with games most weekends.
