OHSLA 2020 Season Cancelled

April 8th  9 PM

With Governor Brown closing down all in-person learning throughout the state for the rest of the 2019-2020 academic year, the OSAA has made the decision to cancel the Spring season and associated state championships.  The OSAA statement can be found on the OSAA site.  The OHSLA will follow that decision and cancel the 2020 season.  Comissioner Paul Schlesinger issued the following statement to Coaches, Officials, and Clubs today:

"To the OHSLA Community:

This afternoon Governor Kate Brown issued an "Executive Order" closing down all School Districts in the State of Oregon.  By this Order the OHSLA Officers will comply with the Order and will be canceling the remainder of the 2020 OHSLA Season.  The League will be mailing back to Team Representatives their 2020 dues to the League.  This will be done shortly.

The League officers will be discussing what this cancellation means to the OHSLA Community; please continue to check the OHSLA website for further updates.  Also please check in with your team coaches and team representatives for further information related to your specific teams and possible summer activities.

Thank you all for your attention to this issue that we all are dealing with at this time of ours. Your support and attention to this issue is much appreciated by the OHSLA Officers and Board.

Paul Schlesinger
Commissioner OHSLA
