USA Lacrosse is coming to the Portland area February 24 - 26, 2023 for our first ever local "Ignite the Future event." We're bringing great players like Jules Heningburg, Liz Hogan, Adam Ghitleman, Megan Whittle and Sam Swart. We have two legends in the coaching world coming out - former Navy head coach Rick Sowell and current IWLCA President Liz Robertshaw.
We will hold a training session to teach local officials the new Sixes format developed for Olympic inclusion, and we will host a Sixes tournament to introduce local players to this exciting new version of our game. Additionally, we will host introductory clinics in East Portland, Hillsboro and Sherwood with the simple goal of putting sticks in the hands of new players and giving them their first taste of our great game.
